CANFIELD  The Youngstown State University Ward Beecher Planetarium and the Mahoning Valley Astronomical Society will host their annual Skywatch event tonight at Williamson Innovation Park.

The outdoor event begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the park, located at 8399 Tippecanoe Road in Canfield. Gate opening is set for 6:30 p.m., with viewing expected to start around 7 p.m.

The evening will feature telescope viewings, stargazing, and educational discussions led by astronomy enthusiasts from YSU and the Mahoning Valley Astronomical Society.

The event is open to all ages and is intended to provide opportunities for the community to observe and learn about the night sky.

Admission and parking are free. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and to bring their own curiosity.

 Should conditions be unfavorable for viewing tonight, a rain date is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 28.
