OH WOW! founder selected for Outstanding Leadership Award

CANFIELD - The Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OSCEA) selected Canfield native and OH WOW! founder Suzanne Barbati to receive the Outstanding Leadership Award according to a press release.
Barbati is a governing board member of the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio. She founded the OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science and Technology in 2011 in downtown Youngstown according to OH WOW's website.
She also served as a consultant for the Ohio Board of Education.
"Our board is fortunate to include leaders like Suzanne Barbati who continuously raise the bar for service and innovation. Her work, alongside past honorees Richard Scarsella and Marie Dockry, reflects the shared commitment our board has to advancing education across the Mahoning Valley," said Jeffery Good, President of the ESCEO Governing Board.
The OSCEA selects governing board members for the award "who have personally rendered a specific leadership service which has significantly benefited to one or more local school districts in the county school system," according to their website.
Barbati will receive the award at the Ohio School Boards Association Capital Conference in November.
