Meridian HealthCare recognized with federal distinction

YOUNGSTOWN According to a news release, Meridian HealthCare is being recognized with a federal distinction for its work in providing comprehensive and accessible primary care.
Meridian HealthCare has received its Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike designation, awarded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
The designation aims to recognize and acknowledge Meridian HealthCare as a community-based health center meeting the same standards as FQHCs across the United States.
According to the release, the designation not only highlights Meridian HealthCare's qualifications, but also strengthens its ability to:
- Expand access and recognition as a community-based health center
- Deepen community impact by reducing financial barriers
- Integrate pharmacy services
- Increase future funding opportunities and partnerships
- Continue to grow programs and serve the community
"This is a major milestone for Meridian and a reflection of the quality, dedication and compassion our team brings to patients every day," said Larry Moliterno, President and CEO of Meridian HealthCare.

The release states that this designation marks "the next chapter in that ongoing commitment to excellence."
Meridian HealthCare has five locations spread across the Mahoning Valley, including:
- Meridian Campus - 527 North Meridian Road, Youngstown
- Boardman - 8255 South Avenue, Boardman
- Warren - 320 High Street, Warren
- Poland - 2894 Center Road, Poland
- The Donofrio Center - 550 West Chalmers Avenue, Youngstown
