Trumbull County bike trail reopens after four-year closure

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, Ohio - EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been revised to provide the correct cost of the project.
A bike trail in Trumbull County has officially reopened on Tuesday after a four-year closure.
The Western Reserve Greenway Bike Trail in Bristol Township is officially reopened after a landslide caused by erosion from a nearby stream left the path unstable, causing it to need to be rebuilt.
The rebuilding process cost about $370,000 and was able to be done with the help of state grants.
Trumbull County Metroparks Executive Director Zachary Svette tells 21 News the trail allows riders to ride their bikes from Warren all the way to Lake Erie.
Additionally, new fencing was added to the trail to allow for people to enjoy the views off the bridge.
