BOARDMAN - Fast Feet, a local youth track and field organization, donated $2,000 each to the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown and the Students Motivated by the Arts (SMARTS) at Second Sole in Boardman Thursday afternoon.

Fast Feet has donated its proceeds to local charities and non-profits every year since 2021 as a way of supporting the community.

"As a youth track program, we try to give back to other youth-focused programs," said Mark Lipinsky, vice president of Fast Feet and Manager at Second Sole.

"We try to choose different charities every year that we've done the program," he continued.

Edna Edmonds, Director of Programming at the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown, says the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown is an after-school program that offers additional educational opportunities outside of school.

"School may not be able to give them those opportunities that the club can," she said.

"We also give them homework help and exposure to field trips and experiences they wouldn't gain anywhere else," she continued.

SMARTS is a community art school that focuses on visual arts, music, and dance, according to its website.

Fast Feet's events are finished for the year and will continue in the Spring of 2026.
