New Sims Truck Center opens in Warren

WARREN - Sims Buick-GMC opened the Sims Truck Center on Friday afternoon at the Sims Auto Park. The facility replaces the Sims Nissan building with a sales area for customers.
Sims Buick-GMC President Bill Sims said the facility opened to cater to a large market of truck users in the Youngstown-Warren area.
"It could be plumbing, it can be electrical, it can be a number of different businesses, but all the skilled trades businesses we have in this town, they need a truck," Sims said.
Sims Buick-GMC partnered with truck accessory companies Rough Country and RealTruck to provide a service center for the vehicles.
"We are also going to have specific technicians just geared to take care of these commercial trucks and get them in and out as fast as possible," he said.
Sims claims that the Truck Center is one of the only places in Mahoning and Trumbull counties where truck owners can purchase a truck and have it repaired.
"As the town changes, we have to change with it," Sims said.
The Sims Truck Center officially opens to the public Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The event includes live music from the local band Northern Whiskey and a watch party for the Ohio State football team at noon. Guests at the opening will receive a tour of the facility
