WARREN A restaurant in Warren gave away free meals to those in need on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Hundreds of guests received burgers, apple slices and waters during the lunch hour at the McDonald's located at 595 South Street SE in Warren.

"Everyday I come into work I just want to fill my cup so if I can fill my cup for other people that's what I want to do,” Rachel Albright, the Operations Supervisor of the McDonalds said.

The community support event was put together in a few days by workers to help anyone who may be struggling amid the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) uncertainty.

"It's very important...because I'm a single mom and I've got my girls,” Phylicia, one of the customers said.

"It's very helpful,” Justin Furlong who got a free meal for him and his family said. "I think more places could do that it be helpful especially this time when things are tight."

The restaurant chain was prepared to give away 300 meals.

"We're right in downtown Warren so were right here, we’re here for our customers that come here regularly they support our business and this is our time to give back,” Eric Knoth, the Co-Owner and Operator of the McDonalds said.
