BOARDMAN A motorcyclist was seriously injured during a traffic accident in Boardman late Tuesday.

A rescue squad and State Troopers were called out to investigate the reported crash along Route 224 near West Boulevard shortly before 8 p.m.

When First Responders arrived, they found an injured man and a motorcycle on its side along Route 224.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries. However, Troopers say the victim, whose name has not been released, was able to speak with them later.

The intersection was temporarily shut down while the crash was being investigated.
