NILES Bond has been set on Thursday for a man accused of stabbing another man in a Niles shopping plaza.

A Niles Municipal Court employee tells 21 News 52-year-old Kenyon Kellum of Warren was arraigned on one count each of attempted murder, a felony in the first degree, and felonious assault, a felony in the second degree.

Bond was set at $1 million and Kellum is due back in court the morning of Monday, November 10.

On Wednesday afternoon, an employee working in a business in the plaza on U.S. Route 422 near State Route 46, otherwise known as the Gentry Center, told 21 News a couple was arguing with a man in the parking lot when one party allegedly stabbed a male victim in the neck.

Police said that they are unsure of the victim's name or age due to the victim being incoherent after the injury. His condition is unknown at this time. He was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Police found Kellum at the Days Inn on Route 422, which is less than a mile away from the plaza, thanks to the help of footage from the surrounding areas' security cameras.
