Cookie Cutters Haircuts cuts ribbon in Boardman

A Boardman business is holding a ribbon-cutting celebration on Sunday, Nov. 9, marking 100 days of business at its Boardman-Canfield Road location.
Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids, a locally owned and operated location dedicated to providing families with a fun, stress-free haircut experience, is having a community event with face painting and a character meet-and-greet.
"Not every child loves getting a haircut," Owner Tiffany Mellott stated, "but our goal is to make every visit something kids look forward to. Whether they're sitting in a fantasy car or need us to adapt the process to fit their needs, we do whatever it takes to help them—and their parents—discover how much fun a haircut can be."
The event features Ariel, Paw Patrol, Bluey and more kid-friendly familiar faces.
The location has an indoor play area, themed barber chairs and TVs playing children's programming.
"There's a friendly environment for kids, they can come in, there's a play center up front, there's games while they wait," Mellott said. "They leave with a sucker and a balloon."
Stylists at Cookie Cutters are specially trained to work with all children, including those with special needs or sensory sensitivities, ensuring that every child feels comfortable and enjoys their visit, the business stated in a news release.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1315 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman.
