Pennsylvania - Joe Mastropietro from New Castle is the creator of Medalyze AI, a new website designed to help patients avoid medical billing mistakes.

His own struggles with understanding medical bills inspired him to develop this program.

"The main thing is that billing and the EOB's are really confusing to anybody who doesn't have the knowledge of what the code means and everything. So my system will actually detect any type of error," Mastropietro said.

The program uses artificial intelligence to analyze medical reports and flag suspicious charges or coding errors that might otherwise go unnoticed.

"On the site, you would upload your bill, your EOB, or your insurance claim, whichever you have, and you upload it to the website, and you have ai analyze it, and within seconds, it'll come back with either red flag, yellow flag, depending on what the problem is," Mastropietro said.

Mastropietro stated that his goal is to make healthcare billing more transparent and fair for patients.

He is hoping to partner with major medical institutions like Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic to expand the tool’s reach.
