Mahoning County's Animal Charity of Ohio has teamed up with a Youngstown coffee equipment company and the Economic Action Group (EAG) for charity, according to a news release.

Animal Charity of Ohio, Invoke Coffee Tech and EAG have collaborated to raffle off a premium home espresso machine, with net proceeds going toward the non-profit's ongoing work in the area.

"After seeing the success of last year's Coffee for a Cause, we knew we wanted to replicate the fundraiser to help a local organization," stated Matthew Campbell, with Invoke Coffee Tech.

Campbell also opened Branch Street Coffee Roasters in Youngstown in 2015, which received the honor of “Best in Ohio” by Food & Wine Magazine in 2019.

EAG operates in the economically disadvantaged communities of Trumbull and Mahoning Counties with a targeted focus on the center city of Youngstown.

The release states that a winner will be gifted a Rocket R Cinquantotto home espresso machine and matching grinder, which retail for $4,390. Tickets can be purchased for $35 through Nov. 28, and the winner will be announced live on Invoke Coffee Tech's Facebook page on Nov. 29.

Animal Charity of Ohio is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and is the only humane society in Mahoning County. The organization assists nearly 700 animals each year, and proceeds from Coffee for a Cause will help Animal Charity treat their injuries and illnesses, purchase food and other necessary supplies.
