Antique store hosts open house for early holiday shoppers

BOARDMAN Community members in Boardman were invited to join Mr. Darby's Antique Emporium, located at 7386 Market Street, for a holiday open house.
The 12th annual open house featured food from local vendors, a luck auction, a 50/50 raffle and some possible Christmas present selections for attendees to peruse.
Featured as part of the event was a basket raffle. Funds from the raffle would go towards the Clarence Smith Family Wellness Center, also located in Boardman.
Owner of Mr. Darby's Antique Emporium, Robert Neapolitan, told 21 News that a charity is chosen every year, and this year, it would be the Clarence Smith Wellness Center.
The Clarence Smith Family Wellness Center aims to support first responder mental health nd help them unwind from the stress of their jobs.
Neapolitan says that even though the event can take some work, it is worth it to see all of the people that turn out to support.
"It's a lot of work to put it together, but we have a lot of fun. It's great to see so many faces and so many people," said Neapolitan.
Anyone looking to do some shopping online can do so on the Mr. Darby's Antique Emporium website.
