BOARDMAN Crews were responding to the area of Route 224 and Glenwood Avenue in Boardman for original reports of a five-car crash.

According to a dispatcher with the Boardman Police Department, responders were dispatched around 8 p.m. on Friday.

The crash happened in the area of Route 224 and Glenwood Avenue, with original information from Boardman dispatch indicating five vehicles were involved.

A 21 News photographer saw three cars within the intersection of Route 224 and Glenwood Avenue with damage to their front ends, pictured above.

Although an ambulance was sent to the scene, Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) troopers on scene confirmed that no one was injured or taken to the hospital.

The right-hand side of Glenwood Avenue, headed towards Canfield from the intersection, is closed for the time being while crews work. Traffic in the other direction on Glenwood Avenue and Route 224 is unaffected.

As of 10 p.m. on Friday, a dispatcher with OSHP confirmed that all vehicles involved have been moved off the roadway and the road has reopened.

The dispatcher did say that the scene would be handled by the OSHP.
