A moment of celebration at the 2016 KISS concert has won the Covelli Centre’s "20 Years of Memories" fan photo contest, which commemorated the downtown venue’s two-decade anniversary.
Edward Uberti’s photograph, which captured the moment confetti filled the air after being shot from cannons during the concert held at the center, received the highest number of votes during the public voting period, Covelli Centre officials announced Monday.
The photo contest was launched as part of the celebration marking the venue’s official 20th anniversary on Oct. 29. The center, which opened in 2005, has hosted numerous events, including concerts, sporting events, and community celebrations.
The winning entry highlights a performance that the center called one of its more iconic and energetic shows.
Jamie DeFrank, marketing manager for the Covelli Centre and JAC Live, noted that the venue’s history is defined by its patrons.
“Thank you to everyone who participated, submitted photos, and helped us celebrate the history and memories that have shaped the Covelli Centre over the last 20 years,” DeFrank said in a statement.
The contest was open to submissions from Oct. 24 through Nov. 9. Public voting for the top 10 finalists was held from Nov. 10 to Nov. 16.
For the win, Uberti will receive a pair of Club Level tickets to 10 shows in 2026, which will be mutually agreed upon with the Covelli Centre.
The winning image is being featured on the center’s social media platforms as part of its anniversary celebration.
