First responders were called out to a crash on route 224 near Southern Boulevard around 6 p.m. on Monday for a reported 4-vehicle crash, according to the Boardman Fire Department.

Upon arriving at the scene, a 21 News crew confirmed that it was a 2-car accident. One car appeared to have rear-ended another in the turning lane of 224 outside of the plaza near 76 Boardman-Canfield Road.

The cause of the crash and whether there were any injuries is unclear at this time. 

Traffic seemed to be unaffected.
