YOUNGSTOWN Brightly colored lights and presents under the tree bring Christmas to mind for many.  But for others, it’s the sounds of tubas.

That’s why brass musicians will gather in the Concert Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium on Sunday, Nov. 30, for the 52nd annual TubaChristmas concert.

The performance begins at 4 p.m. Admission is free to the public, and no tickets are required to attend, though the venue will accept donations.

TubaChristmas serves as a holiday celebration where tuba and euphonium players assemble to perform a variety of Christmas classics. The event features instruments of various sizes and sounds.

Musicians interested in performing at the concert may register in advance at the Stambaugh Auditorium website or on the day of the event, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The concert coincides with the 9th Annual Holiday Craft Show, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. within the auditorium complex. Like the concert, entry to the craft show is free, with freewill donations collected at the door.

This year, the show will feature 82 vendors distributed across three floors of the facility. Spotlight vendors include Field of Dreams Flowers from Salem, Ohio, and Pastries by Andrea from Mercer, Pennsylvania. Artisans will sell items including handmade artwork, holiday décor, ornaments, pet apparel, and baked goods.

Lunch items and refreshments will be available for purchase in the Jeanne D. Tyler Grand Ballroom, located on the ground level. An elevator is available to provide access to different floors.

Stambaugh Auditorium is located at 1000 Fifth Ave.
