Report: Argument leads to shooting at Austintown bar Sunday morning

AUSTINTOWN - A police report has revealed more details on the events leading up to a shooting outside of a bar in Austintown early Sunday morning.
According to the report, officers were called to Chipper's Sports Bar on North Edgehill Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday for the report of a shooting. When they got there, police spoke with the victim, who had been shot in both of his arms.
A witness told police he and the victim were inside the bar when they got into an argument with the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Xavier Yochman, who the witness told police he knew from school.
Police say during the argument, Yochman kept putting his hands in his hoodie pockets and appeared to be manipulating something in his waistband.
The witness told police the argument continued as the victim and Yochman went outside the bar. At that point, the witness heard four to five gunshots coming from outside, according to the report.
Soon after this, Yochman was found and arrested by the Lake Milton Police Department and the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office.
Yochman allegedly told police that the victim called him an expletive inside the bar, and that he has had issues with the victim for years.
Yochman allegedly went on to say when the two went outside, the victim took his shirt off and wanted to fight, so Yochman felt the need to defend himself. However, police say Yochman said that the victim never actually struck him or attempted to do so.
Yochman also allegedly said he "f***ed up" and "made a mistake," and that he "knew he was going to jail for a long time."
Yochman was arrested on charges of felonious assault, having weapons under disability, using weapons while intoxicated and illegal possession of a firearm on liquor permit premises.
