Travel ban in place for high-profile vehicles on Ohio Turnpike starting Wednesday
The travel ban begins Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. over high winds with rain

All vehicles taller than 7 feet, 6 inches will not be permitted on the Ohio Turnpike beginning Wednesday at 8 a.m. over high winds and rain concerns.
The travel restriction will cover the entire 241-mile length of the turnpike and will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
List of vehicles on the ban includes:
- All high-profile tow-behind trailers, including campers, boats, and enclosed trailers. (Fifth wheel trailers are excluded.)
- Commercial trucks towing an empty single 53-foot trailer
- All mobile homes, office trailers and livestock trailers
- All long combination vehicles that include long double-trailer combinations exceeding 90-feet in length. (Enclosed trailers only, including Conestoga type trailers
- All LCV triple-trailer combinations
- 2-axle buses longer than forty (40) feet
- Buses with three or more axles greater than forty-five (45) feet.
The travel ban will be continually evaluated throughout the weather event and updated as needed.
