Pennsylvania bank helps 'Stuff the Bus' for United Way
A Pennsylvania bank announced its donations to United Way's 15th annual "Stuff the Bus" program, supporting a "meaningful difference in the lives of children across our community," according to a news release.
Greenville Savings Bank reported its employees' combined donations for a $2,000 total pledge to the program, which provides winter clothing for children in need.
"Our employees truly care about the well-being of our community, and this donation is a testament to their commitment to making a positive impact," stated Tracey Shultz, President and CEO of Greenville Savings Bank.
The "Stuff the Bus" program mobilizes resources to collect winter apparel, such as coats, hats, gloves, and boots, for families facing financial hardships. According to the release, the money raised by Greenville Savings Bank employees will help hundreds of children in Mercer County receive proper clothing to stay warm throughout the winter months.
"Winter weather can present real challenges for families, especially for those with limited resources. Supporting United Way enables us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children across our community," Shultz stated.
