COLUMBIANA CITY A multi-vehicle crash halted traffic on a state route near Columbiana on Thursday, November 27.

As of 6 p.m., both lanes of State Route 11 southbound between Mile Marker 23 and Mile Marker 26 were closed due to a crash.

A dispatcher with the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) post in Lisbon told 21 News that several vehicles were slipping and sliding on the roadways, striking the median.

One person was reportedly injured and taken to the hospital. It is unknown if any other people have been hurt at this time.

It is unclear how many vehicles were involved, but OSHP estimates that the number may have been five or six vehicles.

As of 7 p.m., OSHP told 21 News that the roadway has since reopened; however, troopers are urging drivers to take extreme caution on the roads in the snowy and icy conditions.
