Lawrence County school hosts annual 'Festival of Trees' display

NESHANNOCK TWP., Lawrence Co. Pa. - Neshannock Township School District, located in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, set up its annual "Festival of Trees" display for its tenth year.
The festival featured holiday vendors, live entertainment, decorated wreaths and Christmas trees.
According to Neshannock Township School District Superintendent Terence Meehan, there are 35 trees displayed this year, along with 50 vendors selling crafts, food, jewelry and other holiday goods.
Meehan says that the school district and Lawrence County Community Action Partnership sponsor the event, and a group of volunteers help decorate the trees and coordinate the vendors and other entertainment.
Proceeds made during the event will benefit the Now Foundation, an organization that aims to help those battling cancer.
The Now Foundation was created by Brian Chroback, who is battling stage 4 male breast cancer himself.
"I started [the] foundation, basically, trying to help others handle this disease both physically and mentally because I understand the challenges that I've gone through, and I just wanted to be a helping hand to others," said Chroback.
If you didn't have the chance to make it out to the event on Friday, there is one more opportunity on Saturday, November 29, at 10 a.m.
Admission for everyone over the age of 10 is $7, while seniors are $5 and children 10 and under are free.
Neshannock Township School District can be found at 3834 Mitchell Road in Neshannock Township, Pennsylvania.
