21 News first heard reports of a house fire on South Lakeview in Youngstown on Monday afternoon, with the Youngstown Fire Department confirming that all residents are safe.

According to Youngstown Fire Battalion Chief Fred Beehler, the attic fire began just before 4 p.m. and caused extensive damage to the attic.

Investigation into the cause of the fire will begin Tuesday morning, according to the Youngstown Fire Department.
