Sip & Paint Benefit to raise a glass, paintbrush in support of Mercer County Food Bank

SHARON, Pa. - Mercer residents interested in winding down with a paintbrush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other may be in luck—and able to help their local food bank.
Penn-Northwest Development Corporation's Mercer County Future Leaders will be hosting a Cheers to Charity: Sip & Paint Benefit to raise funds for Mercer County Food Bank and support local families in need. Community members are invited to Mercer County Food Bank's Sharon distribution center at 109 S Sharpsville Ave, Sharon, PA 16146 on Friday December 12 to enjoy a guided painting session led by a local artist while also partaking in selections of Nova Destination's signature wines. The event is set to last from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased on Penn-Northwest's Events Page prior to the event. Spots are limited so Penn-Northwest advises community members to purchase their tickets in advance. All proceeds will benefit Mercer County Food Bank's holiday initiatives.
"Thanks to events like this, we can provide vital meals and support to hundreds of families across Mercer County during the holiday season. Every donation, big or small, helps ensure no neighbor goes hungry," Development Director of Mercer County Food Bank, Alexis Spence-Locke said in a statement.
The food bank will also be collecting donations of pantry staples and other holiday items during the event—anyone who donates will be entered into a raffle.
Organizers encourage anyone unable to attend the sip and paint event to donate directly to Mercer County Food Bank or drop off items at the event location.
