High pressure will park over the region overnight and into early Friday, resulting in light winds and a clear sky. Especially with some snow on the ground, this is a recipe for very cold temperatures! Friday's daily record low of 9 degrees, set in 1991, is likely to be broken. The day will start with plentiful sunshine, but we expect more in the way of clouds during the second half of the day. After some clearing Friday evening, clouds should build back in overnight.

A couple of fairly weak weather disturbances are on the way for the first weekend of December. Saturday's forecast includes a small chance for flurries, especially in the afternoon. There may be a somewhat higher chance for a touch of snow or flurries Sunday, once again the best chance will be during the second half of the day.

A fairly sunny Monday afternoon will be followed by plenty of midweek clouds. Snow showers could return Tuesday, and Wednesday might feature a mix of rain and wet snow.
