A Mahoning Valley-based clothing company recently opened its doors with a new location on Boardman-Canfield Road. 

Youngstown Clothing Co.'s newest Canfield location marks the company's first purchase of a building all to themselves, compared to its other location inside of the Eastwood Mall. 

"Buying this building changes the game for us," Co-owner Matt McClure stated. "We're not just renting space anymore—we're planting our flag. This is an investment in the community that built us."

The new location also debuted a new "Youngstown Made" section of the store, featuring handcrafted products made by members of the community in the Valley.

The company was founded in 2015 with the mission statement to create "vintage-inspired apparel that lets our community wear its pride." With a few locations around the area since its launch, the new Canfield location gives the company more space for its curated selection of accessories and gifts. 

"We've spent a decade celebrating Youngstown's past, but this new store is about investing in its future," McClure stated. "It took a lot of grit to get here—and we're just getting started."

While the store is open now, a formal grand opening is planned for March 2026, coinciding with the company's 10th anniversary, celebrating a "Decade of Grit." 

The new building is located at 3801 Boardman-Canfield Rd. in Canfield.
