Man wanted in New Jersey arrested following nine-hour standoff in Sharon

SHARON - A man who was wanted in the State of New Jersey was arrested Friday morning following a nine-hour standoff in Sharon.
According to a press release, police were investigating a traffic complaint in the area of Meek Street and North Oakland Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Thursday when they learned of the presence of 34-year-old Isaiah Olden in a home on Meek Street.
Police say Olden was wanted in New Jersey on two weapon-related warrants, with one of them being a felony.
According to the release, officers called Olden on the phone, but he refused to come out of the house, barricading himself inside. Police then obtained a search warrant for the house and the Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team was called to assist.
Police say Olden finally surrendered himself to police around 6:54 Friday morning. He was arrested on a charge of fugitive from justice. Court records do not show an arraignment date for Olden at this time.
