The Columbiana County 4-H program wants you to run, run, as fast as you can, to its 2nd Annual Gingerbread House for a Cause event on Saturday morning in Lisbon.

The event goes from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church and includes cookies and milk with Santa, as well as a chance to vote for the best gingerbread house.

"This event brings together the spirit of giving and creativity," 4-H Youth Development Educator Audrey Dimmerling said. "It's a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a festive morning while making a difference in our community."

Attendees will get a voting ticket for each non-perishable or canned good donation they make, all going toward the First United Methodist Church Community Food Pantry.

4-H programs have been in Ohio since 1904, originating in Clark County as the "Boys' and Girls' Agricultural Club." The programs are designed to help kids with "head, heart, hands and health," preparing children of the community for their future.

The First United Methodist Church is located at 114 E. Washington Street in Lisbon.
