First Watch opens new breakfast, lunch restaurant in Boardman

BOARDMAN First Watch, a daytime dining chain based in Florida, opened its newest location this morning in Boardman.
The restaurant is located at 1051 Boardman Poland Road and operates every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The location does not accept reservations, utilizing a first-come, first-served policy.
First Watch specializes in made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The menu includes standard morning fare such as omelets and pancakes, alongside items like the Quinoa Power Bowl, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and avocado toast. The chain also serves fresh juices, including its Kale Tonic.
According to a company release, the menu rotates five times per year based on seasonal ingredients. The Boardman opening coincides with the chain’s holiday menu, which is available through Jan. 5, 2026. Current seasonal offerings include Carne Asada Breakfast Tacos, a Double Bacon Parmesan Hash, and Cinnamon Chip Pancakes.
“The holidays are all about good food, good company, and celebrating the nostalgic flavors of this time of year,” said Shane Schaibly, senior vice president of culinary strategy at First Watch.
The company stated that a portion of the proceeds from every kid’s meal sold is donated to local non-profit organizations. To date, the program has raised more than $1.7 million.
First Watch operates more than 600 restaurants in 32 states. The company employs a "No Nights Ever" operating model, closing all locations in the early afternoon to provide employees with evening hours off.
Newsweek’s Readers’ Choice Awards voted the chain the No. 1 Best Breakfast in 2025.
