Powerball jackpot reaches $1 billion

The Powerball jackpot climbed to an estimated $1 billion on Thursday after no ticket matched all six numbers in the Wednesday night drawing.
The winning numbers for Wednesday, Dec. 10, were 10, 16, 29, 33 and 69, with a Powerball of 22. The Power Play multiplier was 3x.
Because no grand prize winner emerged from the 41st drawing of the current run, the jackpot for Saturday, Dec. 13, increased from the previous estimate of $930 million. A winner on Saturday would have the choice between the $1 billion annuity or a lump sum payment of $461.3 million before taxes.
The current prize ranks seventh in Powerball history. It trails the $1.08 billion jackpot won in California in July 2023. The jackpot has grown steadily since the last top prize was won on Sept. 6, 2025, when tickets in Missouri and Texas split $1.787 billion.
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
