5th annual Hometown Holidays celebration to take place in Warren Saturday

WARREN - The Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County, alongside the Trumbull County Historical Society, will host the 5th annual Hometown Holidays celebration in downtown Warren on Saturday, December 13.
The event will take place in Courthouse Square and will feature several activities for the whole family to enjoy, including markets, music, a parade and so much more.
The party kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with Candy Land at the Warren Public Library, where kids and families will have the opportunity to make holiday crafts, play games and partake in other hands-on activities until 6:30 p.m.
Additionally, children ages six and under will receive a free early learning kit while supplies last.
The parade steps off at 5 p.m. and will immediately be followed by the lighting of the city's Christmas tree at 5:30 p.m.
The parade will step off at the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, travel south down Mahoning Avenue, turn left onto West Market Street, continue around Courthouse Square, turn left onto High Street and finally turn right onto Harmon Street.
Entertainment at the Gazebo starts at 5:45 p.m. with a live performance from the Warren G. Harding Madrigal Singers followed by a senior showcase at 6:30 p.m.
There will be several other events going on throughout the night, including:
- Carriage rides courtesy of Whispery Pines
- Meet and greets with The Grinch, Olaf and Bluey courtesy of Heroes & Tiaras
- Letters to Santa at First Presbyterian Church
- Music from DJ J. Boogie
- An ice sculpting demo at Leo's Ristorante
- Ornament making at Kinsman House
- A children's market and wrapping station at Fatty Cakes Soaps
- The Holiday Night Market at Modern Methods
- Cookie decorating with Game Changers at 125 W. Market Street
All four corners of Courthouse Square will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. All vehicles parked in the street must be moved by 2 p.m. Vehicles not moved by then will be subject to towing at the owner's expense.
