Rusty Waters Apparel and Westside Bowl are hosting a charity event on Saturday, with proceeds going toward an 8-year-old's need for a wheelchair van.

The 5th Annual Winter Thunderland turns the Westside Bowl into a "holiday-meets-heavy-metal wonderland" for an all-day event full of live music, comedy, and art.

This year, alongside the raffle and the return of "Heavy Metal Santa" photo op, Winter Thunderland will raise funds for Devin, a local 8-year-old who urgently needs a wheelchair-accessible van. Devin is a survivor of a rare and aggressive brain cancer, but continues to face challenges, Rusty Waters Apparel said in a news release.

The event features a free holiday makers market from area creatives and business owners, with jewelry, clothing, woodworking and more available to purchase.

The holiday makers market begins at 3 p.m.

Later in the night, live music begins at 8 p.m. with performances from Pittsburgh's Tommy Magik and the Wonderfulls, Youngstown's Interior Stations, Akron's Brave Arrows and Pittsburgh's Ironflame.

Admission for the show is $10 with an automatic entry for a 40" Smart TV door prize for coming to the concert.

"Our way forward as a community is linked directly with us embracing what we have always been: a city of creatives," Westside Bowl said in a news release.

The event is located at 2617 Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown.
