A harsh end to the weekend

Steady snow will taper off around midnight, but roads could still be slick overnight into early Sunday morning.
Sunday will feature a one-two punch when it comes to the forecast. Lake effect snow showers will continue for much of the day, and temperatures will get even colder throughout the day.
We will wake up with temperatures in the low teens on Sunday, with temperatures rising only to the upper teens, potentially marking the coldest day since February 19th of this year. Wind chill values will make it feel even colder, dropping below zero for a time during the morning hours and staying in the single digits all day.
Lake effect snow showers will continue to be in the forecast, especially late in the morning and during the afternoon. Lake effect snow showers will lead to additional accumulations of a coating to 2 inches up to Interstate 80 and 2 to 4 inches possible north of that mark. Watch for slick travel from time to time throughout the day, especially where lake effect snow bands persist.
Lake effect snow showers and flurries will continue Sunday night and end early Monday morning before tapering off, but Sunday night will remain very cold.
Temperatures on Monday morning will fall to the low teens, with wind chill values potentially dropping below zero for a time once again.
Monday may feature a passing flurry or two during the afternoon with some late-day sunshine as well, but the day remains cold with high temperatures right around 20 Degrees. Clouds will try to clear a bit Monday night and into Tuesday morning, and that could lead to temperatures falling to the single digits by daybreak on Tuesday.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be quiet and feature a temperature bump as temperatures rise from the low 30s on Tuesday to the upper 30s on Wednesday.
Showers will be possible Thursday into Thursday night with a big temperature swing from Thursday to Friday. High temperatures will peak in the upper 40s on Thursday and fall to the low 30s on Friday.
