Youngstown CityScape hosts holiday-themed evergreen pot decorating

Youngstown CityScape invited the community to celebrate the holiday season by decorating a holiday-themed pot to hold an evergreen tree decoration.
The workshop was held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Briel's Greenhouse.
Help was on hand for participants, with decorators there to help make design decisions and give people ideas for their decorative pots.
Organizers say that the event aimed to give the community something to make rather than purchase.
"We decided this year that people want experiences. So, we thought we'll do a little class... and let everyone decorate their pot," said Sharon Letson, Executive Director at Youngstown CityScape.
Letson stated that all of the evergreens used in Monday's workshop came from around Youngstown and the surrounding area.
Additionally, Letson told 21 News that Youngstown CityScape hopes to have more events like this.
"We really want our greenhouse and our resource center to be a connection to our community, and this is just the first of many to come," said Letson.
Some proposed ideas include a spring seeds class and a summer porch flower pot decorating class.
