The Mahoning County Dog Warden is asking for the public's help to identify a man who dropped off a severely injured French bulldog on Monday night, behind Every Dog Matters in Boardman.

The Mahoning County Dog Warden's office said the injured dog sat in a cage behind the building in the frigid temperatures for nearly 10 hours before being discovered.

Unfortunately, the dog is believed to have been hit by a vehicle weeks ago and had a severe infection so bad that the dog had to be put down.

The security footage from behind the building on December 15 shows a man placing a cage with a dog inside behind the facility in the 6300 block of Market Street around 10:30 p.m., then covering the cage with a cloth and driving away.

Animal Charity has opened an investigation into the incident, and they are asking anyone with any information about the man or the deceased dog to contact the Animal Charity of Ohio at 330-744-1064, option 3.
