YSU Honors College donates 100 hygiene bags to Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley

YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown State University's Sokolov Honors College donated about 100 hygiene and clothing bags to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley to support those experiencing homelessness in the Valley.
The donation was part of the "We Are Project I Am" initiative, a nationwide effort that encourages youth to assemble "Blessing Bags" filled with essential items for those in need.
The bags were assembled by students in an after-school program for grades 1-4 who packed hygiene items to help the local homeless population.
The Mission plans to distribute the bags to guests staying in its emergency overnight rooms to provide them comfort and dignity this winter season.
Rescue Mission Chief Development Officer Lynn Wyant expressed her gratitude for YSU and the students for making a difference in their community.
"Eberu nah represents care and compassion for someone seeking a fresh start," Wyant said.
