Youngstown’s largest annual music event is returning to its original home. JAC Live and Youngstown State University announced Friday that Y-Live will move back to Stambaugh Stadium starting in 2026.

The outdoor festival spent the last three years at Wean Park in downtown Youngstown. In 2026, the event will take place on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11. Organizers said they plan to name musical artists and share ticket details in January.

Stambaugh Stadium, also known as the "Ice Castle," was the site of the first Y-Live in 2017. The venue is located on the Youngstown State campus and serves as the home for the university's football team.

"Bringing Y-Live back to Stambaugh Stadium is a homecoming we’re proud to be part of," YSU President Bill Johnson said. He noted that the university serves as a gathering place for the local community.

The move marks a return to a venue that has hosted stars such as the Zac Brown Band and Blake Shelton. While at Wean Park, the festival grew. In 2025, it expanded to a two-night format featuring John Mayer and Tim McGraw.

Eric Ryan, president of JAC Live, said the stadium layout provides excellent views for fans. The 2026 concerts will feature a stage at midfield, with all attendees facing one direction.

The event will coincide with the university's Summer Festival of the Arts. That festival is scheduled for July 11 and July 12, creating a full weekend of music and culture on the campus.
