Two dogs were found at a home in Warren, with one having been found dead and the other emaciated, according to a Facebook post from Healthy Hearts and Paws Project Founder Jason Cooke.

The post outlines that Cooke received a call from Trumbull County 911 Dispatch to aid police with two dogs inside the same crate inside a garage on Clemmens Avenue in Warren.

One of the dogs found was deceased, and the other was emaciated. In a photo shared within the post, the surviving dog's ribs could be seen.

The surviving dog was taken back to the Healthy Hearts and Paws Project shelter.

The crate the dogs were found in was filled with bedding that was covered in feces and urine, according to the post.

Additionally, no food or water was found inside the crate.

Charges of animal cruelty and neglect are expected to be filed on Monday, according to the post.
