The Boardman Police Department issued an "endangered missing adult alert" statewide on Monday, December 22, 2025, for a man who drove away from his residence and hasn't returned.

According to the alert, Robert Brooks, 78, left his home on Hitchcock Road in Boardman around noon on Monday.

Brooks is described to be a White male, standing 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds. Additionally, he has gray hair and blue eyes.

Police are concerned for Brooks' safety, stating in the alert that he has dementia and a heart condition.

Brooks left his required medication and cellphone at home, according to the alert.

The vehicle involved is described to be a white 2012 Hyundai Sonata with an Ohio plate number of FMC-5583 and would be carrying an Alabama driver's license.

The alert described the vehicle as having damage to the rear bumper, with the driver's side mirror held on by a strap.

Anyone who sees or has information on the whereabouts of Brooks is encouraged to call 911 or the Boardman Police Department at 330-726-4144.
