Penguin City Brewing announces first-ever 'Foodie Festival' in Youngstown

A Youngstown brewery has saved the dates with plans to fire up the fryers and light up the dance floor for its first-ever "Foodie Festival."
Penguin City Brewing Co. announced the event set for Spring 2026, which will consist of two days of vendors, live music and "diverse culinary experiences."
The event is run by Premium Shows of America's Steve Lisko and Tra's Gourmet Sandwiches' Tra'von Eley.
According to a news release, vendors like Wok on the Wild Side, Vhalos Gyros and Rutanas Apple Dumplings will also be in attendance.
"We are hoping to bring more light to the downtown area and hopefully make this festival a yearly thing," Eley said. "Growing up before COVID, there were many local festivals in the area, and we want to bring that back."
Live music for the weekend festival will be provided by RDNA and The Infidels, with a $5 cover charge to see the bands.
The festival will take place at Penguin City Brewing Company in Youngstown on May 16 and 17, from noon to 10 p.m. and noon to 8 p.m., respectively.
"We're excited to bring together local food vendors and musicians for a fun community weekend. It's a great opportunity to support local businesses and enjoy great food and music," Eley stated.
Vendors and food trucks interested in being a part of the festival are encouraged to contact Eley by calling (330)207-3187.
