Internet, cable company offering internet access points amid winter storms

An internet, cable and phone company is issuing a statement for anyone potentially experiencing an outage of service during winter storms.
According to the news release, Spectrum is assessing its network for any damage due to winter storms affecting customers in Northeast Ohio.
"Our service interruptions are largely aligned with power outages impacting the area, and teams are working diligently, alongside the power companies, to make the necessary repairs to our network wherever we have access to do so," as stated in the release.
Additionally, the release states that more than 7,400 Spectrum WiFi access points in Northern Ohio were opened to help the community stay connected.
Customers and community members alike in need of an access point can find additional information and updates on the Spectrum Storm Preparation website here.
It is also noted that television customers can still use the Spectrum TV application to watch programs there.
At this time, it is unknown how many residents in the Mahoning Valley are experiencing an internet, phone or television outage.
