According to an employee of the center, the reason for the delay is due to the weather.
The center will open on December 30 at 8 a.m.
21 News Meteorologist Gavin Sandel indicated that the area will see some lake-effect snow overnight and then some lighter snow flurries during Tuesday morning.
Sandel says that the precipitation should dry up by the afternoon hours.
