Police in Mercer County are investigating a traffic accident that shut down a road south of Greenville early New Year’s Day.
A car knocked over a utility pole along the 300 block of Mercer Road in Hempfield Township after 3:30 a.m.
First Responders told dispatchers that Mercer Road would be shut down between Fredonia and Methodist Roads until further notice.
Dispatchers say an ambulance was not sent to the crash scene.
