A regional pre-owned vehicle dealership is expanding its footprint in Columbiana County by moving into Salem’s business district.

Yalcars recently announced it will open a new location at 152 Continental Dr., the site formerly occupied by Donnell Ford Lincoln. The company is branding the new facility as Yalcars Auto Park.

The move marks a shift for the property, which has been empty for more than two years. The previous tenant, Donnell Ford Lincoln of Salem, closed its doors in September 2023. At that time, Flynn Auto Group informed customers that Ford Motor Company had decided to close the location following a review of its dealer network.

The new Yalcars Auto Park will offer more than just vehicle sales. According to company representatives, the site will include a service center, a car wash, and electric vehicle charging stations. The company stated that the larger facility allows for a higher volume of inventory compared to its other locations.

The company aims to differentiate itself by focusing on the specific needs of the community and relying on customer referrals.

The Salem expansion adds to the dealership's existing presence in the Mahoning Valley. Yalcars currently operates in two other locations. One is at 4243 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown, and the other is located at 1050 N. Meridian Rd. in Youngstown.

Both existing locations maintain standard business hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with shorter hours on Saturdays. Sunday operations are currently limited to appointments only. The company has not yet released the specific daily operating schedule for the new Salem location.

The automotive group encourages potential customers to view its current inventory online before visiting. Shoppers can request price quotes or schedule test drives through the company website.
