Man accused of assaulting Smith Township police officers, making vulgar comments to women

SMITH TOWNSHIP, Mahoning Co., Ohio - Smith Township police arrested a man on New Year's Day who allegedly made inappropriate sexual comments to women and assaulted police when they tried to arrest him.
According to a police report, police were called to a home on Beloit-Snodes Road shortly before 6 a.m., where they found 32-year-old William Prince screaming and beating on the door. Police say Prince was "extremely intoxicated."
Police spoke to two women in the home, with one of them telling officers that Prince had touched her leg and started making obscene sexual comments to her, which made her uncomfortable.
From there, officers took Smith to the police station, where he allegedly struck an officer in the face and called officers racial slurs and other "vulgar words."
Jail records show Prince was arrested on charges of assault on a peace officer, sexual imposition and resisting arrest. According to the report, Prince is scheduled to appear in court on January 8.
