No one injured after car, train collision in Mercer County
An officer with the Hempfield Township Police Department tells 21 News the driver of the car entered the railroad crossing trying to beat the train, but the train struck his car.

HEMPFIELD TWP., Pa. - Police say no one was injured after a train collided with a car in Mercer County Friday morning.
The incident happened at a railroad crossing on Route 58 (Mercer Road) in Hempfield Township. A business located just before the railroad tracks told 21 News the road was blocked off.
An officer with the Hempfield Township Police Department tells 21 News the driver of the car entered the railroad crossing trying to beat the train, but the train struck his car.
The officer said the man was not injured, as the train was not going very fast at the time of the incident. The car had to be towed from the railroad tracks.
The man will be cited for the incident.
