YOUNGSTOWN A Youngstown organization focused on assisting families with special, behavioral and chronic medical needs will host its first "Coffee Tour" in 2026 to raise awareness of what they do and connect with members of the community.

Operation Search & Help works with families in Mahoning and Trumbull Counties to help with medical, treatment and medication costs. The organization's first Coffee Tour kicks off on January 16, bringing the community together in a welcoming and accessible way.

10 coffee shops across the Valley will host events to provide opportunities for families to learn about the financial assistance available through Operation Search & Help that works to support the children in their care.

"By meeting residents where they are, and offering a warm cup of coffee, we hope to share who we are, what we do and how we can help," Grant Manager Shari Nesbitt stated.

At each event, guests can enjoy a free cup of coffee while they learn more about the organization.

"Operation Search & Help has been a part of this community since 1974, yet many families who could benefit from our support don't realize we are here," Nesbitt stated.
