A Canfield fitness center hosted the New Year, New Me Health and Fitness Expo on Sunday in Girard, all to help local dogs find a forever home. 

Pure Cycle Studios, a Canfield gym offering high-energy indoor cycling classes, held a basket raffle and community learning event at the Metroplex Expo Center on Motor Inn Drive. 

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Every Dog Matters Rescue, a nonprofit organization in Youngstown.

The only admission fee was a $5 donation to the rescue mission, with the Sunday meeting holding yoga and strength classes for those in attendance.

With experts, trainers and vendors present at the event, guests got the chance to talk more about their fitness and health goals for 2026.

The event is happening Jan. 4, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
