Cause of death of Salem infant ruled as 'undetermined'
The infant was found dead on the 300 block of West Pershing Street on January 12, 2025. At the time, Salem Police Chief J.T. Panezott described the baby's death as 'suspicious.'

SALEM - Nearly one year after the death of a five-month-old infant in Salem, the Columbiana County Coroner's Office has declared cause of death 'undetermined.'
The infant was found dead on the 300 block of West Pershing Street on January 12, 2025. At the time, Salem Police Chief J.T. Panezott described the baby's death as "suspicious."
At the time, Chief Panezott said the matter was an active investigation, with no one in custody.
