BOARDMAN - First responders are on scene at The Shops at Boardman Park after a car crashed into an electrical box Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. Tuesday, near the building that formerly housed Rise Pies Handcrafted Pizza. First responders on scene say the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and crashed into the box.

The driver was told to stay inside the car until crews turned the electricity off. Crews say there were live wires on the car, but it has since been towed away, and crews are working to repair the box.

The driver was not injured in the accident.
